How it all started
In 2013, founder Ted Chang set out to bring Greenwich Village together around exceptional Chinese food. From day one, Uncle Ted's was as much a community mission as it was a restaurant.

Resilience and reopening
When 2021 brought an unexpected setback, the story wasn't finished. Under new management by the Mogao Group, Uncle Ted's reopened at 38 E 8th Street — driven by a belief that great food and real community are always worth continuing.
